The service #
Bramwell operates machinerelations.ai under the Machine Relations brand. These terms cover access to the Machine Relations Index, its public API and MCP service. By using those services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
The Index offers free, read-only access to public citation measurements. No account is required. It does not buy editorial placements, change third-party answers or guarantee citations.
Data licensing and attribution #
Machine Relations Index data is available under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). You may share and adapt it, including commercially, subject to that license. Give appropriate credit, link to the license and indicate changes. Use the source citation and canonical URL returned with the data, and identify the release when reporting measurements.
The CC BY 4.0 license controls your reuse of licensed data. These service terms do not add restrictions to that license or revoke rights already granted under it. Other site materials retain their stated licenses. Third-party content and trademarks belong to their respective owners; no trademark rights or endorsement are granted by these terms.
Responsible access #
Use the service without disrupting it, bypassing technical access controls, or impairing access for others. Respect any published rate limits and use reasonable caching for repeated requests. We may limit or suspend access to protect the service, or change or discontinue endpoints. This does not revoke the license for data you have already obtained.
Reading the measurements #
Results describe observations in the stated release window and monitored sample. Coverage is limited to the categories, question shapes, domains and engines in that release. Missing observations do not prove a domain is never cited. Rates are not promises of future performance, and measured association does not establish causation.
The service and its data are provided as available and as is, without a guarantee of completeness, accuracy or uninterrupted availability, to the extent permitted by law. Nothing here excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
Privacy and third-party clients #
Our privacy policy explains website, API, MCP and support data processing. Third-party clients that connect to the service have their own terms and privacy policies. Do not send passwords, access tokens or private conversations to our support address or public query endpoints.
Changes and contact #
We may update these terms by publishing a revised version with an updated date. Changes apply to future use of the service; they do not change the CC BY 4.0 license on data already released.
